The new 3,391-square metre casino will be located on the ground floor of Xscape Milton Keynes, in the heart of the city’s leisure quarter.   The casino will be accessed by a new external entrance created on the southern elevation of the Xscape building.

Aspers MK will create 250 jobs.  It will be a fantastic new addition to Xscape, already one of the UK’s premier leisure destinations, which includes an indoor real snow slope, rock climbing, indoor skydiving, bowling, 16 screen Cineworld cinema, bars, lifestyle shopping, restaurants and cafes.

Damian Aspinall, Chairman of Aspers, comments: “We are delighted that, after a detailed and comprehensive assessment, Milton Keynes’ Licensing Committee has recognised that our bid delivers the best operator in the best location within the best development.  We now look forward to turning our dream for Aspers MK into reality over the coming months.”

PY Gerbeau, Chief Executive of X-Leisure, owners of Xscape, was thrilled with the news: “Since arriving in Milton Keynes in 2000, our focus has always been to deliver a first class entertainment experience.  Working with Aspers, who are a well-respected market leader in the casino industry with an established and proven track record, we’re very much looking forward to welcoming the new casino as part of the Xscape experience.”

Aspers’ philosophy is that there should be something for everyone, providing live gaming and all-round entertainment in a stylish environment. The widespread appeal of this approach is clearly demonstrated in the successful launch of Aspers Westfield Stratford City.  Since opening in December 2011, this casino has already become the most popular, and most visited, in the country.

The new Aspers MK will provide a relaxed live gaming experience with many exciting and impressive facilities, including gaming tables, electronic gaming, slots, poker, casual dining restaurant and bar, entertainment area and a Sports Bar.

Aspers is a socially responsible gaming operator and will be introducing its “Community Action for Responsible Gaming” forum to Milton Keynes.  The forum is a unique and bespoke vehicle for communicating within the local community.
