The Casino MK has fast established itself as the must go to leisure and entertainment venue in Milton Keynes after exceeding its own expectations and welcoming over 50,000 visitors since it opened on 5 September.

The new super casino, which is the largest outside London, has seen very busy weekends but has had a steady level of custom during the week as well. The casino is non-membership and open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week and not only features a range of live gaming tables, 108 slots machines and a 150 seat poker room, but also two bars and an á la carte restaurant.

General Manager, Nigel Hartland commented, “We couldn’t really have asked for a better first month of business. The weekends have been even busier than we had envisaged and we’ve seen a good mix of people coming through the doors.”

The busiest weekend in September saw thousands of customers pack the gaming tables and bars to watch the Mayweather boxing match live on the huge media wall, even at 4am in the morning.

The success of the city centre venue has meant the casino has taken on 20 extra staff to help cope with demand and to provide the level of service that the management demand, and will mean that the venue will soon employ 250 staff, the majority of which have been recruited locally.
