Fri 02 Oct 2015

This October, students in Milton Keynes will be able to get a head start on their plans for education in 2016/17 thanks to the first open events of the new term at Milton Keynes College.

Open evenings at MK College allow learners to find out about their course of choice and speak directly to the tutors involved in delivering those courses. In addition, this year’s open evenings will see course leaders providing scheduled talks on their subjects, including learning outcomes for students and potential career paths.

The first batch of open evenings will take place Wednesday 14th October, 5.30pm to 8pm at Chaffron Way and Silbury Campus, followed by Tuesday 20th October, 5.30pm to 8pm at Bletchley Campus, including Sixth Form.

2014/15 saw a number of high profile successes for everyone connected to Milton Keynes College, including a number of ground-breaking achievements, such as an unprecedented rise in top A-Level grades (A*-B), the first of its kind since the launch of the College’s dedicated Sixth Form.

In June, students from all departments made a huge impression throughout Milton Keynes with the first ever ‘Festival in the City’, a week-long series of events in Middleton Hall at the centre:mk, which saw over 150,000 people visiting and taking in the showcase of talent from learners in conjunction with the College’s employer partners.

Anyone interested in attending the open events should visit mkcollege.ac.uk, where they can find the dedicated pre-registration pages and enter all their details ahead of the night.
