Shout it Loud, Shout it Proud for apprentices

Wed 05 Mar 2014

This is the message that Milton Keynes College will be shouting out loud and clear to business delegates attending  Business Expo 3.0 tomorrow,  Thursday  6th March.

National Apprenticeship Week (3rd -7th March) celebrates apprentices’ talent, skills and achievements and proves apprenticeships are great for businesses, great for personal careers and great for creating opportunities for both employers and apprentices.

Milton Keynes College will host two  seminars at Business Expo 3.0 starting at 10am and 12 noon.

Delegates will hear from:

• Liz Coughlin, Employer Account Manager,  National Apprenticeship Service
• Simran Dhesi , a MK College student doing an Advanced Apprenticeship in Business Administration will talk about why she chose the apprenticeship route over university.
• Dianne Cook who heads up the College’s apprenticeship provision will clearly explain and demon-strate how the national apprenticeship program works and the many benefits to businesses achieved by employing an apprentice.

The seminar is open to all businesses and anyone interested in attending should book online at  or contact
Jessica Earp

On 19th March, 5.00-8.00pm, a dedicated Apprenticeship Zone at the College’s Open Event will give poten-tial apprentices information on the broad range of subjects open to them, as well as an opportunity to meet local companies face-to-face already working closely with the College and employing apprentices.

With over twenty years’ experience in delivering high-quality apprenticeship programmes across a wide range of occupational areas, the College works to help local businesses find the right apprentices, and deliver high quality training and development.
